The client chose a Design and Build procurement route for this new nursery, for which we obtained planning permission and prepared the Employer‘s Requirements. Replacing an existing end-of-terrace house, the nursery provides accommodation for 2-5 year-olds, at ground and first floor. The
spaces are open and as flexible as possible, with specific areas for dining and tablework, messy play, reading and floor work differentiated by the use of floor finishes and purpose-designed furniture. The project was funded in
part by the provision of a self-contained flat on the second floor.
