Residential
school for deaf children, Camden |
This community nursery wanted to extend their existing building under the Neighbourhood Nurseries initiative. We obtained planning permission for two new wings, providing three new spacious nursery rooms and a dining room, which will double as a drop-in centre for a parent and toddlers group. Each room will have its own entrance from a top-lit central hall. The butterfly roof profile allows deep penetration of natural light and encourages natural ventilation. The intake of the nursery will increase to enable it to meet demand and create sustainable management. |
Client: Gumboots Community Nursery
