AAB architects have completed five ’MUGA’s for Camden LEA, located within primary school playgrounds. These are designed to maximise the capacity for National Curriculum sports, whilst allowing for use by the community of these spaces outside school hours. This often involves rationalising the available external space, to provide safe areas for sport within the playground environment, whilst ensuring quieter spaces are maintained and enhanced. In most cases floodlighting is provided, together with additional facilities such as an accessible WC or a canopy to provide shading.
