AAB architects is a design-led practice, based in North London. We work on residential, educational and community projects for a wide range of clients, including local authorities, schools and nurseries, individuals, companies, charities and community groups. We have an established expertise in designing spaces for children in education and at play.
Since winning first place in a Europe-wide competition to convert an historic prison into flats, the practice's work has focused on unlocking the potential of existing buildings. In 2010, we converted a redundant leisure building to create a primary school for deaf children. AAB architects examine options for the imaginative re-use of the existing buildings, and develop practical strategies for adapting, converting and extending them.
Our service is tailored to individual needs, and we work closely with clients from start to completion. We bring to all projects a careful analysis of the brief and site context, strategic planning and attention to detail in design and during construction. In the role of lead consultant, AAB architects guides the design process and is the client's main point of contact with other construction professionals.
