This house in Dartmouth Park required complete refurbishment to transform it into a modern family house. AAB architects designed a new rear extension and courtyard, to create a connection between the lower ground floor, previously lit by a small light well, and the upper garden levels. A series of retaining walls and steps allow a graduated ascent to an intermediate terrace area, continuing up to the planted terraces above.

Materials include purpose-designed stainless steel guardrails, rendered blockwork and stone paving.
