In this invited ideas competition for the redevelopment of Delawyk Crescent, a 1950’s estate in Dulwich, a masterplan was developed for improving
the access to and through the site, combined with a long-term strategy to increase the amount of usable green space for public, community and
semi-private use: paved areas (currently 40% of the site area) are reduced and bio-diversity encouraged with new planting; semi-private green spaces
are developed, including community allotments, play areas and lawns, with measures for sustainable living such as recycling centres, secure bike stores,
rain-water storage, composting and garden sheds.
