After 20 years of family life, the client’s brief was refurbish their home and to create a more spacious and comfortable dining space, as well as renewing the kitchen and providing more storage.
Storage cupboards and a larder are fitted into the previously external slot of space alongside the two-storey rear extension and the neighbour’s extension, with two skylights bringing light into the centre of the plan where the breakfast bar is located.
A larger structural glass skylight makes the most of the view of the rear garden, centred on the magnificent ash tree in the adjacent garden. External cladding in black-stained Larch complements the verdant garden setting.
