Listed building consent for Kentish Town Sports Centre decarbonisation

August 2026

We are very pleased to have received planning approval and listed building consent for decarbonisation of Kentish Town Sports Centre on behalf of London Borough of Camden, enabling the centre to move away from gas boilers to ASHPs and solar voltaic panels.

The building is a significant example of a late-Victorian Public Baths, and is a Grade 2 listed. We worked with engineers Max Fordham and Consibee to deliver a co-ordinated design proposal for the roof mounted plant, limiting the impact on the listed building fabric and its setting within the Inkerman Conservation Area.

The works include acoustic screens which are clad in copper to match the works carried out in 2010 and provide a cohesive overall appearance.
