stuCAN festival at CAT

March 2024

Alice took part in the stuCAN festival- organised by the Architects Climate Action Network and hosted by the Centre for Alternative Technology- where she spoke about AAB’s research into retrofit of housing estates and the role of the architect at a time of ecological crisis. The festival bought together 60 students representing 28 universities from the UK and Ireland, and a number of fascinating speakers including Barnabas Calder, Charlie Edmonds and Neba Sere. Students gave a micro-talks, organised and debated the challenges ahead. It was great to have the opportunity to see the buildings and site at CAT, including a tour of the water filtration and waste water systems.
